With the road opening up for the season, the Pentecost River crossing was shallower than I expected. Only about axle deep. May be deeper depending on the tide though.Lovely bit of country..

Great river crossing.Cockburn range in background ( depending direction of travel), crocs in the river. Decent length. Plenty of space either side to turn for photos.

At the end of the dry season, there is very little water over the crossing, however the scenery and Kimberly colours are still stunning.

Great spot to visit and photograph the iconic view of vehicles crossing the pentecost with the Cockburn Ranges as the back drop. Watching the tide come in and out as well as a bit of fishing. Great day out.

We crossed early in July 2018. Reading the books and reviews online we were a little nervous. But it was really easy, quite lame actually. Didnt see any salties, and the rock bed crossing was relatively smooth.

Magnificent backdrop but visited on early september and there was barely any water except a small puddle. All dried up pretty quick this year
